The factory located in the UAE was established in 1976 with a quarry and two production lines. As part of a modernization project our team was engaged to optimize the factory and increase its financial profitability. We customized a comprehensive optimization package to meet the factory’s budget and production goals. Analyzed every process in the manufacturing operation including: quarry, pre-blending, raw milling, blending, burning and cooling, finish milling, conveying, packing and loading. Investigated and categorized the related costs: raw material, production material & supplies, utilities, maintenance supplies & spare parts, manpower. Our cement experts modeled the asset and benchmarked against the best practices in the business. We recommended technological, procedural, managerial and rehabilitative programs to enhance profitability by cutting cost and increasing value. Conducted consultations with stakeholders to obtain the buy-in of management and crew. Developed the implementation schedule and followed through the successful execution of the recommendations. The results were truly impressive.
