Project Tire Recycling Eco Village

SoW Concept Design & Capital Cost Estimates

We were tasked with developing the concept and capital cost estimates for an Eco Village that was envisioned to showcase environmentally friendly and economically viable projects based on the recycling of waste automotive tires.  The Eco-Village was intended to house an educational center, a clean technology demonstration facility as well as the following factories:

• Tire recycling plant to separate rubber crumb, steel, and textile. To further use the rubber crumb in the following plants:
• Green rubber plant which is a value-added product and has properties resembling those of virgin rubber
• Soaker hose plant for use in irrigation
• Other downstream rubber-based industries: mats, tubes, pipes, conveyors and gaskets

SDV scope of work was completed in 2008.
